About Us
Jan Kalyan Charitable Society (Regd.) is an ISO (9001:2015) certified society. The society is nongovernmental organization working for the upliftment of the poor and destitute Communities in both rural and urban areas, helping them to discover alternatives leading to their socio economic independence, self sustainability and better health. We are committed to the care of children and their families in need.
We continues to actively seed and develop academic programmes for curricular change in elementary education, at the micro level, and mainstream them through government and non-government agencies. Jan Kalyan Charitable Society has been striving to translate this dream into a lived reality for all children. Working towards the goal of social change through meaningful education, it conducts researches and evolves curricular models at the micro level and attempts to implement them in the mainstream system to bring about change in the school education system in India. Teacher professional development is another area that we are engaged with through research, material development and conducting teacher capacity building workshops.

Jan Kalyan Charitable Society (Regd.) was established in 2012 and is headed by S.Harmanjit Singh Goraya whose constant inspiration and efforts have made the organization continue to grow from strength and strength to its present astounding height.
S.Harmanjit Singh Goraya is a famous social worker excellent record of uplifting the down trodden and poorest of the poor in this region of Punjab. The organization has to provide volunteers and a team of doctors to fight for the victims of cholera at Gandhi Camp Batala and also has contributed a lot to the poor and needy persons by providing them tricycles, clothes, food and other needy facilities.
